POSITION SUMMARY

The Health Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all medical operations within the camp environment. This role is crucial in ensuring the health and safety of all participants.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be capable of executing the core responsibilities of the Health Officer role.
  • Current certification as an EMT-B or a higher level of emergency medical technician.
  • Minimum age requirement is 21 years.
  • Availability to work weekdays, with some evenings as needed.
  • Ability to operate independently and manage responsibilities effectively.
  • Maintain certifications in Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED through the Red Cross.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise all medical activities and events.
  • Address all medical needs of campers promptly.
  • Hold the authority to determine when a camper requires further medical attention or transport.
  • Administer and manage medications for campers on a daily basis.
  • Organize and maintain documentation related to incidents during shifts.
  • Ensure confidentiality regarding medical conditions and records.
  • Monitor medical supplies and ensure they are replenished as necessary.
  • Facilitate communication among all staff and representatives.
  • Uphold a professional appearance and adhere to the required uniform standards.
  • Familiarize with emergency procedures and participate in drills.
  • Assist at the Customer Service desk as needed, including participant check-ins and package handling.
  • Be trained to operate camp vehicles as required.
  • Remain accessible for medical events or injuries, utilizing communication systems to ensure prompt response.
  • Engage with campers and staff in camp activities to foster a supportive environment.
