Role Summary:
As a Lead Food Service Coordinator, you will report directly to the Food Services Manager, operating within various areas such as the kitchen, cafeteria, and patient services. Your primary responsibility will be to supervise the daily operations of a designated section within Nutrition Services. This includes managing cash transactions as a cashier, ensuring proper cash handling, and fostering positive customer interactions throughout your shift. Key duties involve ensuring adequate staffing levels, addressing issues to uphold departmental standards, training new employees, delivering patient meal trays, preparing special orders, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Executing food preparation tasks and assembling meals and beverages with attention to portion control
  • Adhering to all HACCP regulations
  • Leading and organizing daily operations, managing staffing, and troubleshooting issues
  • Training new team members
  • Assisting with catering event setups, cashiering, and maintaining cleanliness in work areas
  • Operating, cleaning, and sanitizing kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Delivering meals to patients promptly and managing café transactions efficiently
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Completion of the FBI fingerprinting process for compliance in cash handling
  • Proficiency in managing cash, coins, checks, and credit card transactions
  • Ability to meet bonding requirements for cashier responsibilities
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in food preparation and service
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation standards
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Required time off must be included in the submission, with no time off in the initial two weeks of assignment
