Job Summary

The Department of Industrial Relations is seeking a highly skilled Management Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and coordinating public records requests in accordance with the Government Code.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and respond to public records requests in a timely and accurate manner
  • Review and assess incoming requests to ensure compliance with the Government Code
  • Provide administrative support to the Presiding Workers' Compensation Judge and Associate Chief Judge
  • Develop and maintain records management systems to ensure efficient and effective record-keeping
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to learn and apply the Public Records Act and related regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Working Conditions

This position is located in a modern office building with natural and artificial lighting, temperature control, and air conditioning. The incumbent will work in a cubicle in close proximity to others and will be required to work extensively on computers for drafting documents, conducting research, and other purposes.

Special Requirements

The incumbent must possess the ability to learn and apply the Public Records Act, Labor Code, regulations, and court rules, and communicate them effectively to the public.
