Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Uphold high standards of customer service by ensuring all patient interactions are handled professionally and positively, contributing to patient satisfaction and retention.
- Patient Information Management: Access, update, and maintain accurate patient information using electronic health record (EHR) systems and the CareTend pharmacy system.
- Communication: Use basic medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and medical professionals, addressing questions, concerns, and inquiries in a timely manner.
- Therapy Compliance: Initiate regular check-ins with patients to ensure they are adhering to their prescribed treatment plans, manage medication refills, and provide ongoing support to maintain therapy compliance.
- Medication Delivery: Coordinate with patients and prescriber offices to schedule medication deliveries, ensuring continuity of therapy and maintaining trusted customer relationships.
- Documentation: Utilize the CareTend pharmacy system to document case activity, patient communications, and correspondence, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of patient records.
- Issue Escalation: Identify and escalate issues involving complex clinical matters to the appropriate clinical team when necessary.
- Communication Facilitation: Facilitate communication between patients, prescriber offices, and internal teams by transmitting status updates, triage notifications, and the necessary documentation to support patient therapy compliance.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Language Skills: Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred but not required.
- Medical Terminology: Ability to utilize medical terminology to communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Multi-Tasking: Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork: Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- EHR Experience: Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Customer Service Experience: 1+ years of experience in customer service or patient care coordination.
- Specialty Pharmacy Experience: Specialty Pharmacy experience is highly preferred.
- IVIG Scheduling Experience: IVIG scheduling and care coordination experience is highly preferred.
- CareTend Experience: Experience with CareTend pharmacy system is highly preferred.
