Construction Project Controls Specialist

Position Summary:
We are currently looking for skilled project controls analysts and project records managers to support significant construction initiatives related to transportation and utility sectors.
Key Disciplines:
- Transportation (Highway, Bridge, and Maintenance)
- Utilities (Water and Wastewater)
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in construction project controls or project management, preferably on large-scale projects valued between $5 million and $30 million.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or eight (8) years of equivalent experience in construction projects utilizing project control software such as Primavera P6 for CPM scheduling and project documentation management.
Requirements:
- Proficient in industry-standard construction management scheduling software, with a preference for Primavera P6.
- Extensive experience in managing electronic (cloud-based) project documentation systems.
- Experience with State, Federal, or Local projects is highly desirable, along with familiarity with Blue Book Rates, RS Means, and other industry cost data indices.
Essential Job Duties:
- Establish and maintain an electronic filing system for correspondences, RFIs, submittals, logs, meeting minutes, payment requisitions, and potential change orders (PCOs).
- Facilitate electronic communications among owners, design consultants, construction consultants, contractors, and external agencies.
- Review and track all incoming correspondence to ensure timely action is taken.
- Maintain various logs, including inspection/testing, change status, claims, submittals, and construction budgets.
- Monitor the status of submittals, including RFIs, in collaboration with Construction Project Managers.
- Review contractor's Schedule of Values and Monthly Estimates.
- Process monthly contractor payment applications.
- Track and process PCOs, Change Notices, and Change Orders, including the distribution and tracking of contractor proposals.
- Prepare daily summaries of Inspectors Daily Reports.
- Coordinate contract close-out activities in line with project record retention requirements.
- Monitor the status of Certificates of Compliance, Warranties, and Guarantees.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation logs and reports.
- Perform all other project control duties as required.
Additional Training or Certifications:
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of construction management software.
- Prior field construction office experience is essential.
