Description:

Hourigan Construction Company is a leading provider of construction management services, renowned for its commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Safety Intern.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Explore and Develop Safety and Quality Control Programs: Assist in the development and implementation of safety and quality control programs to ensure a safe working environment and high-quality construction projects.
  • Coordinate Actions to Address Problems: Collaborate with the safety team to identify and address potential safety hazards and quality control issues.
  • Create Safety Procedures and Audit Procedures: Develop and implement safety procedures and audit protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in the Hourigan Safety and Health Management System: Contribute to the development and implementation of the company's safety and health management system, including attending safety training sessions and participating in safety inspections.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in occupational safety, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in safety and the construction industry.
  • Foster a strong desire to learn and welcome new challenges.
  • Able to work approximately 40 hours per week for a summer internship.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently, but also value teamwork and collaboration.
