Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Integration Specialist to join our team at the Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State University. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting node deployment and management for the Depot Integrated Product Team (IPT).

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with customers to plan and execute technical projects
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to support maintenance of hardware and software systems
  • Deploy patches and baseline updates to remote sites
  • Maintain and manage nodes remotely
  • Perform continuous monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Structure and maintain databases
  • Provide advanced service-desk functions, including trouble ticket fielding and resolution
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline; Master's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Experience with implementation and understanding of engineering principles in a professional environment
  • Deep understanding of hardware and software builds, IA hardening and lockdown
  • Experience managing RedHat/Linux systems, writing and maintaining custom scripts
  • Experience configuring routers and switches, including dynamic routing protocols
  • Experience with Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Bash, PowerShell, and Python
  • Skilled in platform management, including Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in maintaining, configuring, operating, and troubleshooting complex electronic computer interface systems and network equipment
  • IAT Level 1 certification
  • Strong understanding of security concepts, best practices, and how to apply them
  • Ability to represent successful completion of work in Agile Management systems
  • Top Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls
  • Experience with Dell Open Manage Enterprise/Redfish API
  • Experience with distributed systems like Hadoop, HBase/Accumulo, Spark, and Kafka
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $109,300.00 - $191,000.00, including all possible grades. The salary may be impacted by geographic differential.
