Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is in search of a Senior Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to enhance the Systems Engineering division in San Diego, CA. The selected individual will contribute to Development and Sustainment initiatives, identifying cybersecurity vulnerabilities and crafting, developing, integrating, testing, and validating system security measures. Responsibilities include recognizing cybersecurity threats, collaborating with stakeholders to formulate a technical and programmatic remediation strategy, and spearheading the integration of cybersecurity enhancements into the weapon system.

The ideal candidate will utilize leadership capabilities to engage with customer representatives and other stakeholders, driving enhancements in the weapon system's cybersecurity framework. This role requires a technically proficient leader with outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills, as well as a self-motivated approach. The position is on-site and entails up to 25% travel to meet program requirements.

Basic Qualifications:
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to employment commencement.
- 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field, 7 years with a Master's degree in a STEM field, or 4 years with a PhD in a STEM field.
- Experience in at least one of the following areas:
+ Managing cybersecurity vulnerabilities and collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize and address findings.
+ Developing processes and standards to ensure the creation of secure products.
+ Evaluating systems for cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
+ Implementing cybersecurity scanning and assessment tools such as ACAS or Nessus.
+ Creating cybersecurity compliance documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Program Access for Strike program.

Salary Range: $146,300 - $219,500
The salary range provided serves as a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including the position's scope and responsibilities, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Employees may qualify for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay, with annual bonuses designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director roles may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Furthermore, Northrop Grumman offers a variety of benefits, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and personal matters.
