The Cyber Resiliency Department, part of MITRE Labs and the Cyber Solutions Innovation Center, is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer to support critical initiatives for Foreign Military Sales Partners in the INDO-Pacific region.
This position will act as the primary resource for cybersecurity and cyber resilience engineering, providing consultation and leadership in areas such as:
- Policy application
- Risk management
- Resilient architecture development
- Cybersecurity capability integration
- Active cyber defense operations
The successful candidate will engage with government stakeholders at various levels, including action officers, Case and Program Managers, senior leaders in combatant commands, foreign partner desk officers, and policymakers within the DoD and OSD.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; or a PhD with 5 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possession of a Secret level security clearance.
- In-depth knowledge of cyber threats, attack vectors, and countermeasures.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining customer relationships as a trusted advisor.
- Familiarity with DoD Acquisition processes and system development lifecycle principles.
- Ability to innovate and develop new techniques for enhancing cyber resiliency practices.
- Experience in Defensive Cybersecurity Operations and Active Cyber Defense.
- Understanding of architectural and operational vulnerability analysis.
- Knowledge of NIST and international standards for risk management.
- Experience with Security Incident Analysis and Response concepts.
- Familiarity with model-based system engineering and digital engineering methodologies.
