Facility Maintenance Associate

Position: Housekeeper (Full-Time, Non-Exempt)
Compensation: Hourly Rate, plus Benefits eligibility
Overview
As a Housekeeper, your primary role is to ensure a pristine, organized, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, team members, and vendors. Your contributions are vital in maintaining the quality of our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold cleanliness standards across various areas including office spaces, residential units, laundry facilities, fitness centers, retail areas, and other communal spaces as directed.
- Thoroughly clean all restrooms, ensuring all surfaces such as counters, mirrors, sinks, and fixtures are spotless.
- Vacuum carpets and mop tile floors as required.
- Perform spot cleaning on walls and windows to maintain a tidy appearance.
- Dust furniture and ensure trash receptacles are emptied regularly.
- Clean baseboards, light fixtures, and HVAC vents to uphold cleanliness.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the property by collecting trash throughout the week.
- Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies and household items.
- Ensure proper utility settings in unoccupied units according to community standards.
- Communicate any service requests or relevant information to management regarding resident welfare.
- Carry out additional housekeeping tasks or duties as assigned by management to promote efficient operations.
- Participate in weekly on-call duties as necessary.
- Foster a positive work atmosphere through effective communication with team members, residents, customers, vendors, and management.
- Engage in Cardinal U training as required.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of professional housekeeping experience is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions; bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with residents and team members.
- Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness are essential.
- Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling (up to 25 lbs.).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adapt to a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Commitment to completing assigned tasks safely and effectively, adhering to OSHA standards and community expectations.
