JOB SUMMARY: The Facility Maintenance Specialist is tasked with ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility. This role is essential for maintaining health and safety standards as per industry regulations. Team members are expected to be dependable and detail-oriented.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing of floors.
- Dust and clean equipment, furniture, and fixtures.
- Polish metal fixtures and trimmings.
- Manage waste removal.
- Provide janitorial supplies and conduct minor maintenance tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness of lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
- Communicate needs for major repairs to the appropriate management.
- Respond promptly to janitorial requests.
- Suggest improvements for janitorial operations and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Execute other related tasks as assigned by management.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: The Facility Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the upkeep of various areas within the facility, including:
- Locker room sanitation - showers, toilets, vanities, floors, walls, and partitions.
- Tanning bed maintenance.
- Equipment cleanliness.
- Cardio machine upkeep.
- Overall cleanliness of floors, railings, stairs, and walls.
- Group exercise classrooms.
- Functional training zones.
- Lobby and office areas.
- High dusting tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Relevant education, training, or experience that provides necessary skills and knowledge.
- Commitment to high standards and excellence.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workflow effectively.
