Role Overview:

The Maintenance Technician will be tasked with a variety of maintenance responsibilities for apartment units and the property, ensuring the highest standards of service and aesthetic appeal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute maintenance tasks including repairs in electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance as per state regulations.
  • Conduct general carpentry work such as wallboard repair, cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, and window repair.
  • Perform proactive preventative maintenance including painting, lighting, and pool maintenance.
  • Manage the work order system to ensure timely completion of tasks to meet company standards and resident satisfaction.
  • Inspect property grounds and common areas to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Assist during property emergencies, including inclement weather situations.
  • Communicate maintenance issues promptly to leadership.
  • Promote safety and risk management in accordance with regulations.
  • Participate in on-call maintenance assignments as needed.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents and maintain a professional demeanor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year experience in property management or a related field.
  • General maintenance and carpentry skills.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
  • CPO certification preferred.

Skills Required:

  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with office equipment.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to manage difficult situations with professionalism.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and a professional appearance.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Compliance with safety regulations is mandatory.
