Role Overview:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks within the property, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting repairs across various systems including electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance.
- Performing general carpentry tasks such as wallboard repair, cabinet replacement, and window/glass repair.
- Engaging in proactive preventative maintenance activities including painting, lighting, and pool maintenance.
- Managing the work order system to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Inspecting property grounds and common areas to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
- Assisting with emergency situations such as snow removal and other weather-related incidents.
- Communicating effectively with maintenance leadership regarding all maintenance concerns.
- Promoting safety and compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Participating in on-call maintenance assignments as needed.
- Fostering positive relationships with residents and ensuring high standards of customer service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of experience in property management or a related field.
- Proficient in general maintenance and carpentry skills.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
- CPO certification is preferred.
