Role Overview:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks within the property, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting repairs across various systems including electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance.
  • Performing general carpentry tasks such as wallboard repair, cabinet replacement, and window/glass repair.
  • Engaging in proactive preventative maintenance activities including painting, lighting, and pool maintenance.
  • Managing the work order system to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Inspecting property grounds and common areas to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Assisting with emergency situations such as snow removal and other weather-related incidents.
  • Communicating effectively with maintenance leadership regarding all maintenance concerns.
  • Promoting safety and compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Participating in on-call maintenance assignments as needed.
  • Fostering positive relationships with residents and ensuring high standards of customer service.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in property management or a related field.
  • Proficient in general maintenance and carpentry skills.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
  • CPO certification is preferred.
