About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a DHS Program Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and evaluating human service programs to ensure their effectiveness and compliance with state and federal laws and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and analyze existing and proposed state and federal laws related to specific Department of Human Services program areas.
  • Review records and reports to determine service effectiveness and policy and procedure compliance of program activities.
  • Develop program plans, policies, procedures, and reporting mechanisms, and revise operating manuals with changes or additions.
  • Investigate complaints, identify program deficiencies, prepare corrective action plans, and implement procedures to ensure corrective action plans are implemented and evaluated.
  • Provide technical assistance and serve as a coordinator for the review, interpretation, and development of specific program policy, procedure, and/or funding.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in social or community service program activities or a related area.
