The Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) is seeking a highly skilled Statewide Program Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing specialized duties within a program or project and providing technical assistance to state agencies and institutions of higher education.
Key Responsibilities:- Discusses routine and non-routine issues and problems with agencies and institutions of higher education
- Reviews, analyzes, and processes requests
- Meets with requestors to ascertain additional information or reasoning for request or action
- Interprets and disseminates legislation, policies, and procedures
- Provides technical assistance on a wide range of topics and issues
- Participates in the review and development of legislation, policy, procedure, action, and guidance
- Coordinates routine and non-routine process requests and actions with other DFA offices and sections
- The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, public administration, or a related field
- Three years of progressively more responsible experience in accounting, budget administration, fiscal analysis, or a related area
