Housing Program Manager

As a Housing Program Manager at the Low Income Housing Institute, you will play a crucial role in assisting homeless individuals to stabilize and secure permanent housing.
This position is responsible for short-term service planning, maintaining relationships with community agencies and service providers, brief intervention and crisis response, providing informal counseling to clients as needed, information and referral assistance, and coordination of community-building activities.
We are looking for a skilled professional with a strong background in case management, resident advocacy, or related career to join our team. If you have experience working with a diverse population and possess excellent written and communication skills, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Information and Referral/Case Management: Provide information and referrals to clients, including through distribution of written material. Maintain updated information tools for tenant use in accessing community resources.
- Community Building: Coordinate with community organizations, public agencies, and volunteers to provide on-and off-site activities for clients. Initiate and encourage client involvement in community-building activities, such as community meetings, meals, and support groups.
- Administrative: Participate in staff meetings and planning sessions. Report regularly to Supportive Services Supervisor on programmatic issues.
