Overview

Plymouth Housing Group is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending homelessness in the community. As a Housing Case Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting residents of our permanent supportive housing program.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $70,816, based on a 40-hour work week and an hourly wage of $34.35. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 403(b) options.

Job Description

This is a unionized position represented by Local 8 of the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU). The Housing Case Manager will support Plymouth residents by working as part of an onsite permanent supportive housing team that is committed to supporting the well-being of residents and assists in maintaining high-quality service delivery based on the values inherent in Plymouth's mission, the principles of cultural proficiency, the tenets of harm reduction and trauma-informed care, and the 'housing first' philosophy.

The specific tasks related to this position include:

  • Supporting residents in their housing stability by identifying barriers and creating housing service plans;
  • Providing care coordination and supportive services to meet plan goals;
  • Ensuring staff presence in buildings while fostering a sense of community;
  • Managing a designated caseload and working with residents to achieve residential stability;
  • Collaborating with community agencies and resources to access resources and benefits.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BA/BS degree in a human service field or equivalent experience;
  • At least two years of experience working with homeless and low-income individuals, including those living with mental health conditions, chemical dependency, disabilities, and HIV/AIDS;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Solid organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines;
  • Self-motivation, creativity, and problem-solving skills;
  • Empathic patience and ability to develop relationships with diverse populations;
  • Ability to work effectively under stressful conditions and maintain confidentiality;
  • Valid Washington State Driver License and insurable driving record.
