Job Overview

The Regional Manager oversees the operations of several properties, ensuring resident satisfaction and retention. Key responsibilities include managing property P&L, marketing, and full resident lifecycle activities. This role requires strategic planning, market analysis, and effective team leadership.

Your Impact
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve property goals and analyze market trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure a high level of resident customer satisfaction, tracking satisfaction and retention, and lead and manage a team of property managers and site employees.
  • Understand and manage operations guidelines for each property established within the Property Management Agreement and Management Plan, monitor building operations for compliance with established Bellwether policies and procedures, fair housing laws, and landlord/tenant regulations.
Requirements
  • A minimum of four years' experience as a multi-family Property, Portfolio, or Regional Manager responsible for a portfolio of affordable housing properties (LIHTC, Home, Section 8) and direct supervision of onsite teams.
  • Collaborative leadership styles and effective team builder.
  • Excellent written communication skills, high proficiency with property management software systems (Bellwether uses Yardi) and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Deep understanding of various affordable housing regulatory regimes, including HUD, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, and state and local funder regulations.
