Position Overview

ROLE SUMMARY
The Specialty Pharmacy Account Manager for Innovative Medicines is tasked with fostering partnerships with regional specialty pharmacies within Teva's Innovative Medicine division. This role involves collaborating with specialty pharmacy stakeholders to meet and surpass defined objectives while working in conjunction with various internal teams, including brand management, field sales, new product introduction, patient services, distribution partners, Market Access, and medical affairs. The Account Manager will serve as a key resource for educating pharmacy staff on the clinical advantages of Teva's Innovative Medicines and the support resources available for patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacies. Additionally, the Account Manager will be well-versed in Teva's Innovative Medicine offerings and payer reimbursement policies, addressing inquiries related to pharmacy reimbursement processes. The role also encompasses supporting the launch strategies for new Innovative Medicine products.

Key Responsibilities

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Continuously assess and manage relationships with specialty pharmacy partners within our distribution networks.
  • Collaborate across the Innovative Medicines Commercial framework to keep all stakeholders informed about the pharmacy reimbursement landscape relevant to the IM portfolio.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with existing specialty pharmacy partners.
  • Develop new connections with influential executives and decision-makers in specialty pharmacies.
  • Exhibit expertise in product reimbursement, market access, and benefit investigations for both medical and pharmacy.
  • Maintain compliant communication with field sales, corporate personnel, healthcare professionals, and pharmacy networks to identify and address coverage and patient access issues.
  • Act as a liaison among Market Access, brand teams, Sales, Patient Services, and Trade to formulate effective pharmacy engagement strategies.
  • Identify market opportunities to strategically position Teva products based on customer and market needs.
  • Regularly update management on opportunities and challenges related to patient access.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare market.
  • Plan, lead, and conduct business reviews focused on Innovative Medicine Specialty Pharmacy.
  • Clearly articulate the corporate narrative and brand value propositions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance standards are upheld in all interactions.

Qualifications and Experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education, training, and experience that meets the position's requirements will be considered.

Education:
• A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.

Experience:
• A minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly within institutional and specialty pharmacy settings, is required.
• Over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in specialty pharmacy, is preferred.
• Prior experience in selling branded specialty products is advantageous.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travel may be required up to 50% of the time.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Occasional:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a workstation or while using mobile equipment.

VISUAL ACUITY
• Activities may include computer work, data preparation and analysis, and extensive reading.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required during site visits.
