We are currently seeking a Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team. The Psychiatrist will play a vital role in delivering patient-focused care with an emphasis on holistic health. This position involves collaboration with a diverse group of healthcare professionals within an integrated care framework. The psychiatrist will also provide leadership and support to the behavioral health team, focusing on program development aimed at achieving positive health outcomes.

Our integrated approach combines primary care and chronic disease management, particularly for individuals living with HIV and those requiring transgender health services.

We offer a supportive work-life balance with flexible scheduling, including no night or weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis
    • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to identify mental health disorders.
    • Employ evidence-based diagnostic methodologies.
  • Treatment Development and Execution
    • Create personalized treatment strategies that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other therapeutic modalities.
    • Track patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Medication Oversight
    • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, ensuring proper usage and monitoring for adverse effects.
  • Team Collaboration and Coordination
    • Work in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team, including Primary Care Providers, Infectious Disease Specialists, Social Workers, Care Managers, Pharmacists, and other allied health professionals.
    • Formulate comprehensive care plans through collaborative decision-making.
    • Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Patient Education and Advocacy
    • Educate patients and their families regarding mental health issues and available treatment options.
    • Facilitate consultations and referrals aimed at enhancing behavioral health outcomes.
  • Documentation and Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of medical records.
    • Complete necessary documentation for patient care.
  • Leadership of Behavioral Health Team
    • Supervise the behavioral health team, focusing on program development and evaluating relevant outcome measures and key performance indicators.
Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with a specialization in Psychiatry.
  • Active license to practice Psychiatry in Georgia.
  • Board certification in Psychiatry.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • BLS certification.
  • Preferred experience in an integrated healthcare environment.
  • Experience in psychiatric settings with 2-3 years of psychiatric prescribing experience.
  • Familiarity with integrated care models and multidisciplinary treatment strategies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Innovative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Robust clinical expertise in psychiatric evaluation and treatment.
