We are currently seeking a Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team. The Psychiatrist will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care, emphasizing overall wellness. This position involves collaborating with a diverse group of healthcare professionals within an integrated care framework. Additionally, this role includes offering guidance and support to the behavioral health team, focusing on program development aimed at achieving positive health outcomes.

Our team, which includes primary care providers and behavioral health clinicians, works closely with patients and their families to address both physical and mental health needs. This includes managing behavioral health issues, substance use disorders, health-related behaviors, stress management, and the interplay between mental health and chronic medical conditions.

Our practice emphasizes primary care and chronic disease management, particularly for individuals living with HIV and those requiring transgender health services.

We offer a supportive work-life balance with flexible scheduling, ensuring no night or weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:
    • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to identify mental health disorders.
    • Employ evidence-based diagnostic methodologies.
  • Treatment Planning and Implementation:
    • Create personalized treatment strategies that may include medication management, psychotherapy, and other therapeutic modalities.
    • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Medication Management:
    • Prescribe and oversee psychotropic medications, ensuring their appropriate use and monitoring for potential side effects.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Work in partnership with the multidisciplinary team, including primary care providers, social workers, care managers, and pharmacists.
    • Develop detailed individualized care plans through collaborative decision-making.
    • Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Patient Education and Support:
    • Educate patients and their families regarding mental health issues and available treatment options.
    • Facilitate consultations and referrals aimed at enhancing behavioral health outcomes.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
    • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of medical records.
    • Complete necessary documentation for patient care.
  • Supervision:
    • Oversee the behavioral health team, focusing on program development and evaluating relevant outcome measures.
Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with a specialization in Psychiatry.
  • Active license to practice Psychiatry in Georgia.
  • Board certification in Psychiatry.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • BLS certification.
  • Preferred experience in an integrated healthcare environment.
  • 2-3 years of psychiatric prescribing experience in a clinical setting.
  • Familiarity with integrated care models and multidisciplinary treatment strategies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills to address patient needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to adapt in a dynamic, results-driven environment.
  • Robust clinical skills in psychiatric evaluation and treatment.
