We are seeking a highly skilled and courteous Valet Attendant to join our team at The Publisher Hotel in Fredericksburg, VA. As a Valet Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests by parking and retrieving their vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Parking and Retrieval: Park and retrieve customer vehicles in specified areas in a safe and efficient manner.
- Guest Assistance: Assist guests by helping unload luggage from vehicle and transporting to their room, personally carrying the luggage, or using a luggage cart.
- Laundry and Amenities: Respond to guest needs by promptly delivering laundry, newspapers, iron & ironing board, additional linens, etc., in person.
- Communication: Respond to inquiries and promote the hotel's services, in person and on telephone, by explaining products/services.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Communicate hotel vehicle maintenance needed to Engineering in a timely manner and follow up on completion.
- Safety and Security: Obey all traffic and driving regulations, remain on scheduled route at all times, and ensure safety of all passengers and their belongings.
- Log Keeping: Complete transportation log and maintain a written log recording guest requests and deliveries.
- Education: High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent.
- Experience: Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards.
- Physical Demands: Must have vision ability see objects and people at a distance, finger, hand and upper body dexterity to grasp handles, carry bundles and lift packages, and upper body strength to continually lift and carry up to 65lbs throughout the hotel during entire shift.
- Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate verbally and understand and follow verbal instruction, use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, and have strong communication skills when interacting with guests and employees.
