Role ResponsibilitiesThe Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused care and overseeing all operations within the unit during assigned shifts. Collaborating with management, the CNC directs, assesses, and evaluates nursing practices in line with established protocols, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies the organization's mission and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Facilitating admission and discharge processes to promote efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
- Engaging in continuous evaluation of patient care quality in collaboration with the management team.
- Working with experts and managers to foster a collaborative environment that enhances outcomes and service delivery.
- Embracing a patient-first approach and engaging in service recovery when necessary.
- Supporting facility initiatives aimed at improving staff engagement through nursing strategies.
- Providing input on recruitment, selection, and training of new staff, as well as performance evaluations and compliance with personnel policies.
- Assisting with staff scheduling and managing labor in accordance with patient care requirements.
- Overseeing inventory management and assisting with supply and equipment management.
- Current nursing license from the Virginia Board of Nursing or a multi-state compact license valid in Virginia.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required upon hire.
- PALS and ACLS certifications to be obtained within six months of hire.
- TNCC certification is preferred.
- Previous experience in an emergency room setting is required.
- Willingness to float between different emergency service locations as needed.
