Job Summary

The New England Aquarium is seeking a dynamic and engaging Visitor Educator to join our Conservation Learning Team. As a key member of our team, you will deliver high-quality, mission-based experiences to daily visitors, providing support to a diverse set of volunteers, interns, and peers. Your passion for marine conservation and education will inspire and empower visitors to take action and make a positive impact on the ocean.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging, interactive experiences that meet the educational goals of the Conservation Learning Group and the New England Aquarium.
  • Provide high-quality, mission-based interpretation and presentations to daily visitors, including formal and informal presentations on various conservation topics and exhibits.
  • Facilitate visitor experience at our touch tanks exhibits, particularly our Shark and Ray Touch Tank.
  • Potential to provide mentoring for volunteers, interns, and staff.
  • Perform other relevant duties as needed.
Requirements
  • HS Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
  • 1-2 years professional work experience within marine science, education, environmental science field(s) required.
