About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Franchise Business Development to join our team at Ameriprise Financial. As a key member of our Franchise Division, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategies to drive business growth and talent acquisition in our franchise network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruiting and Talent Development

Lead a high-quality, high-quantity recruiting effort for franchise staff, advisors, and external practice acquisition hires. Develop and manage a comprehensive diversified sourcing strategy to drive a consistent level of high-quality lead flow.

Business Planning and Implementation

Lead the annual advisor business planning process, ensuring a high-quality implementation that drives both high participation and a thorough capture of advisors' growth goals and objectives. Responsible for advisor engagement in programs that drive practice growth.

Onboarding and Integration

Lead the onboarding process for all new advisor hires and practice acquisitions. Create and manage an onboarding plan customized to each situation, ensuring a seamless transition for new advisors.

Ad Hoc Support and Leadership

Provide ad hoc support to field leaders and top advisors as needed. Present strategic messaging on behalf of the local leadership team in advisor engagement venues. Provide leadership to matrix business partners responsible for driving results in the assigned territory.

Requirements
  • Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Experience

5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, business development, or a related field.

Skills

Ability to work independently with high initiative, while also comfortable working with a team to drive results. Extensive project management experience required, preferably in leading operational, onboarding, and recruiting projects. Outstanding relationship management, negotiation, and collaborating/influencing skills in working with all levels of advisors.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with recruiting, financial services industry, Series 7, and Series 66.
