Non-Credit Adjunct Instructors play a crucial role in delivering instruction, guidance, assessment, and mentorship to non-credit learners. Instructors are expected to actively engage in the mission and community of the institution. The primary focus will be on teaching, facilitating learning experiences in various settings including classrooms, labs, clinical environments, field sites, and through distance education, ensuring that learners can develop their skills and interests to their fullest potential.

Teaching Responsibilities: This part-time Non-Credit Adjunct Instructor position is contracted on a course-by-course basis and will not exceed 1500 contracted hours annually. Contracts may encompass a mix of teaching hours, preparation activities, curriculum development, student advising, and assessment of assignments. Teaching schedules may vary, including day, evening, weekend, and online classes, depending on course requirements and instructor availability. The primary location for training will be determined by the agency's needs. Workforce development initiatives prioritize skill enhancement and credential attainment. While teaching experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory. Professional experience and relevant certifications are essential. Our learners expect to gain insights from experienced professionals who can impart their knowledge and practical expertise in the field. Students may range from beginners to those seeking advanced credentials. Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. Extensive experience in masonry. Knowledge: Understanding of masonry safety protocols. Familiarity with masonry tools and equipment. Proficiency in masonry measurements, drawings, and specifications. Knowledge of mortar types and their properties. Expertise in masonry units and installation methods. Skills: Strong oral and written communication abilities. Proven teaching and educational facilitation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, adaptability, and customer service focus. Competency in computer applications. Abilities: Capability to evaluate learner performance and provide constructive feedback. Ability to align learner outcomes with course objectives. Skill in addressing the needs of diverse student populations. Proficiency in organizing instruction to maximize student learning. Ability to manage a classroom environment effectively. Capacity to encourage critical thinking and problem-solving among participants. Commitment to maintaining educational quality standards. Ability to keep accurate educational records. Flexibility to adapt to local needs and national trends. Proficiency in using Email, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Preferred Qualifications:

NCCER Masonry Certification. Previous teaching or training experience in a vocational or community college setting.
