A full-time opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to deliver high-quality and compassionate services to clients in various counties. The Foster Care Support Specialist will oversee case management services for children who have experienced neglect or abuse and are currently in foster care, as well as their birth and foster parents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing Parent/Agency Agreements.
- Ensuring timely completion of service plans.
- Attending court hearings and providing testimony as needed.
- Making referrals to external support services.
- Maintaining consistent communication with the child's care providers.
- Offering supportive casework services to birth parents.
Qualifications:
A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in human services is required, along with experience in child welfare. Candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of Child Welfare practices, DHHS policies, and relevant state laws regarding foster care.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are essential due to the necessity for frequent travel. Some evening work may be necessary, and staff will participate in a shared rotating on-call schedule to manage 24/7 crisis situations.
