Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Nelson. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth and client retention in the specified geographical region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet business objectives and drive revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with various Nelson divisions to effectively cross-sell into client relationships.
  • Manage and maintain quality company records in eRecruit.
  • Function as liaison between client companies and operations staff.
  • Negotiate contracts and work agreements on behalf of Nelson.
  • Develop and implement customer relations strategies to drive sales leads, research, and customer service.
  • Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to track work as specified by manager.
  • Represent Nelson at important business and trade events to gain knowledge and implement business impactful strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
  • One to two years related experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of recruiting practices preferred.
  • Proven track record of success with previous company where career was tenured.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Intermediate level of compatibility with navigating through social media.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, electronically, or through other means to individuals and groups.
  • Strong with geographical organization and time management skills.
Work Environment

Works in an office environment where temperatures are comfortable and noise level is low to moderate. When traveling to client locations, can encounter varying work environments and conditions.

Salary

$60K - $85K plus commission
