Amentum is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to contribute to the PM Soldier Survivability (PM SSV) project office under the Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing systems engineering activities, which encompass requirements analysis, functional analysis, design solution formulation, systems analysis and control, and the generation and maintenance of systems architecture documentation.
  • Applying systems engineering principles to convert quantified needs into system performance parameters and identifying system configurations.
  • Formulating and issuing systems engineering documentation, processes, procedures, and milestones.
  • Possessing a comprehensive understanding of the Systems Engineering Management Process and its implementation within the Department of Army/DOD Acquisition process across all life cycle phases.
  • Providing expert guidance on critical programs and technologies, serving as the subject matter expert for all technical aspects of the assigned program.
  • Conducting top-level design, development, integration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Translating military operational and mission requirements into actionable system concepts and performance specifications.
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including specifications, engineering drawings, system interface requirements, and engineering changes.
  • Participating in post-award program reviews, design reviews, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) as the project engineer and/or technical expert.
  • Evaluating design efforts to ensure the integration of all engineering disciplines and the adequacy of analyses performed, bringing in additional technical expertise as necessary.
  • Reviewing test plans, procedures, and reports for technical adequacy on assigned programs, including both Government and contractor tests, as well as all failure reports.
  • Monitoring and assessing system performance against specification requirements, field performance, and the risk of meeting user and specification requirements.
  • Initiating engineering change proposals and conducting physical and functional configuration audits as required.

Required Skills & Experience:


Expertise in Systems Engineering with the capability to lead engineering initiatives on assigned programs with minimal oversight.


Required Clearance:

ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED:
Secret. Please note that U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Government Clearance.

Qualifications:
A minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant work experience is required, or equivalent experience commensurate with DAWIA Level II SPRDE certification.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours. This position currently allows for hybrid telework, which includes two days on-site and three days telework. This telework designation is subject to change at the discretion of the Government.
