Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Specialist I/II to join our team at Ventura County Medical Center and Santa Paula Hospital. As a Radiologic Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and positioning patients for Computed Tomography (CT) exams, operating CT equipment, and maintaining a safe and efficient imaging environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for CT examinations according to approved modality protocols
  • Clean and maintain CT equipment, including routine preventative maintenance and daily/weekly QA/QC
  • Complete documentation required for CT examinations and billing process for each patient encounter
  • Schedule patients and coordinate CT examinations
  • Transport patients to and from the imaging departments when necessary
  • Shield patients according to radiation safety procedures
  • Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
  • Graduation from a single two-year allied health education program that is patient-care related
  • Valid Radiologic Technologist Certificate issued by the State of California Department of Public Health/Radiologic Health Branch
  • Valid Fluoroscopy Permit issued by the State of California Department of Public Health/Radiologic Health Branch
  • Valid CPR Certification
  • Computed Tomography (CT) work experience and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification preferred
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent lifting of and/or transportation of patients by wheelchair or gurney/stretcher, moving imaging equipment to patient's bedside for portable studies, and standing for extended periods of time. The ideal candidate will be able to work a flexible schedule, including on-call shifts, and be willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
