Job Title: Medical Assistant I/II

Join the Ventura County Health Care Agency as a Medical Assistant I/II and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in our Ambulatory Care clinics.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant I/II to provide clinical support services to patients and healthcare teams. As a Medical Assistant I/II, you will be responsible for performing a variety of clinical tasks, including patient intake, vital measurements, and standard physical screenings. You will also assist with clerical duties, such as setting up and stocking the clinic, cleaning up supplies, and providing backup support for the front office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical support services to patients and healthcare teams, including patient intake, vital measurements, and standard physical screenings.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in quality improvement efforts to enhance patient care and clinic operations.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited school in medical assisting.
  • One (1) year of experience providing clinical support in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting.
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:

This position requires working in an indoor health care delivery environment with constant contact with patients and the public. At times, may be performed at community events or outdoors.
