Radiologic Specialist II

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Specialist II to join our team in the Ambulatory Care department of the Health Care Agency. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in radiologic imaging, with a strong emphasis on maternal-fetal medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and position patients for a variety of medical imaging procedures, including routine diagnostic x-rays and highly-specialized diagnostic tests.
- Operate various portable and stationary ultrasound machines to obtain images for diagnostic interpretation by Radiologists.
- Perform sonographic examinations, including Ob/Gyn sonograms, biophysical profiles, and AFI's.
- Assist with amniocentesis procedures and perform sonographic evaluations of fetal morphology, age, growth, and color doppler studies.
- Work with physicians, nursing staff, and schedulers to ensure patients are seen promptly and assist in training and education of patients, employees, physicians, students, and other healthcare professionals.
- Graduation from a single two-year allied health education program that is patient-care related or a program accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Professionals (CAAHEP) that specifically conducts programmatic accreditation for diagnostic medical sonography/diagnostic cardiac sonography.
- Minimum one year of experience performing the duties in Ultrasound and Echocardiography.
- CPR certification and registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
The Radiologic Specialist II will work in a fast-paced clinical environment, interacting with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
