We are currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Senior Survey Project Manager. This position offers an opportunity to thrive in a supportive environment that encourages professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development initiatives, lead proposal preparations, and act as the primary presenter in client meetings to secure new project opportunities. Proficient in defining project scopes, timelines, and resource allocations while being accountable for generating significant new business.
  • Establish and nurture existing client relationships, serving as the principal contact for major accounts.
  • Skilled in conducting essential negotiations and addressing complex issues, demonstrating sound judgment in resolving intricate technical and interpersonal challenges.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of standard land surveying practices, capable of executing complex or innovative assignments that necessitate the development and application of new or enhanced methodologies.
  • Effectively lead and oversee project teams on assignments of varying sizes and complexities, ensuring all project elements are completed, including client interactions, team communications, budget monitoring, and accounts receivable management.
  • Recognized as a specialist in the field, providing technical, design, and project management expertise in support of surveying activities.
  • Engage actively in professional organizations, fostering professional development and mentoring junior staff while maintaining a robust network within the industry.

Qualifications:

  • North Carolina Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in geomatics project management.
  • Strong understanding of the geomatics field complemented by leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all facets of the consulting business, including finance, IT, and human resources.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Microstation is preferred.
  • Active participation in high-profile initiatives, seeking opportunities to represent the profession on matters of public or professional significance.
  • Exceptional presentation, technical writing, and public speaking abilities, with extensive experience in major business development efforts.
