Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitates business development initiatives, leads proposal preparations, and serves as the primary presenter in client meetings to secure new project opportunities. Proficient in developing project scopes, timelines, and resource estimates, while being accountable for generating significant new business.
- Establishes and nurtures existing client relationships, acting as the principal contact for major clients.
- Skilled in conducting critical negotiations and addressing complex issues. Demonstrates adeptness in persuading and resolving significant challenges, showcasing sound judgment in managing intricate technical and interpersonal assignments.
- Possesses extensive knowledge of standard land surveying practices. Capable of executing complex or innovative assignments that necessitate the development and application of new or enhanced techniques or methodologies.
- Effectively leads and supervises project teams across various project sizes and complexities. Ensures comprehensive project management from inception to completion, including client meetings, team communications, budget monitoring, and accounts receivable management.
- Recognized as an authority in the field, providing technical, design, and project management expertise in support of surveying initiatives.
- Engaged in professional organizations, committed to ongoing professional development, and dedicated to mentoring junior staff. Maintains a robust network of industry relationships.
Qualifications:
- NC PLS certification is mandatory.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in geomatics project management.
- Strong understanding of the geomatics field complemented by leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
- Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of all facets of the consulting industry, including finance, IT, and human resources.
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record are required.
- Experience with AutoCAD/Microstation is preferred.
- Should actively participate in high-profile activities, seeking opportunities to represent the profession on matters of public or professional significance.
- Excellent presentation, technical writing, and public speaking skills, with substantial experience in major business development initiatives.
