Role Overview:

Markon's partner organization is in search of a Systems Engineer to assist our Intelligence Customer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, evaluate, and document comprehensive solutions for entire systems or subsystems utilizing both proprietary and commercial products.
  • Assess and define the existing or new systems requirements of the customer, considering specialized technological needs.
  • Develop functional and technical specifications and standards.
  • Address interface challenges, outline input/output parameters, and ensure the integration of the complete system or subsystem.
  • Foster strong relationships through effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrate experience with innovation and the innovation lifecycle.
  • Provide project management assistance, including the creation of requirements, project plans, needs assessments, and transition strategies.
  • Conduct traditional Systems Engineering at the enterprise/strategic level, considering the political landscape, operational constraints, and interrelated systems within the customer's organization.
  • Identify integration challenges and facilitate Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) to address them.
  • Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships, manage complaints, resolve disputes, and handle conflicts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; Master's degree with 6+ years; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience specific to the Intelligence Community.
  • Self-motivated with leadership capabilities and the ability to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to complete tasks efficiently with little oversight.
  • Strong decision-making abilities and organizational skills.
  • Proven experience leading technical teams in developing and implementing hardware/software requirements.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to support customer needs, communicate ideas clearly (both orally and in writing), work independently, and propose creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Capacity to influence others and drive towards a common goal.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with RF/Satellite communication systems.
  • Technical degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related fields is preferred.
