Role Summary
The Systems Engineering Specialist will engage in applying comprehensive systems engineering methodologies throughout various phases of the systems life cycle, including Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. This role involves collaboration with stakeholders to address technical considerations and resolve associated challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of deliverables across multiple process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288.
  • Engage in stakeholder requirements definition, requirements analysis, architectural design, implementation, integration, verification, transition, validation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Oversee project planning, assessment, control, decision management, risk management, configuration management, information management, and measurement.
  • Manage project portfolio, infrastructure, lifecycle models, human resources, and quality management.
  • Facilitate acquisition and supply agreements.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of general systems engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.

Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency in Linux systems administration, with a strong command of command line operations and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Windows Server and virtualization technologies such as VMware.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Puppet.
  • Knowledge of security support processes, including scanning, patching, and documentation maintenance.
  • Experience in quality assurance and configuration management.
  • Ability to manage requirements and apply risk management principles effectively.
  • Experience in system testing and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
  • Familiarity with UNIX, Linux, and Windows environments.
  • Proficient in MS Office and system architecture/design.
  • Experience in system integration and administration.
  • Knowledge of lab or data center design and support.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, etc.).
  • Familiarity with product vendor collaboration.
  • Understanding of MySQL, MongoDB, or other relational databases.
  • Experience with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch/Logstash/Kibana).
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Jest, Cypress, and Sonar.

Note: All positions require TS/SCI Clearance and a Full Scope Polygraph.

Levels:
Level 1: Bachelor +5 years - Four years of general systems engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
Level 2: Bachelor +5-7 years (Depends on the position)
Level 3: Bachelor +6-10 years (Depends on the position)
Level 4: Bachelor +10 years Minimum
Level 5: Bachelor +15 years minimum
