About the Role

Motion Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Research and Development Engineering to lead our R&D efforts in North America. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and delivering results-driven solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead R&D Activities: Drive the delivery of all R&D activities in NA, reporting monthly on progress and escalating risks and priority conflicts as needed.
  • New Product Development (NPI): Oversee the development of new products, ensuring timely delivery and meeting budget targets.
  • Sustaining Engineering: Lead the team in sustaining engineering efforts, ensuring the continued development and improvement of existing products.
  • Value Analysis & Value Engineering (VAVE): Develop and implement value analysis and value engineering strategies to optimize product design and manufacturing processes.
  • Research & Advanced Development: Drive research and advanced development efforts, identifying and exploring new technologies and innovations to stay ahead of the competition.
Requirements
  • Senior Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading senior teams, with a strong track record of delivering results and driving innovation.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge and expertise in research and development engineering, with a focus on software, firmware, physics, electronic, and mechanical design.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong focus on delivering results on time and within budget.
