Job Title: Accounting Support Specialist at Arrow International

Position Overview:

This position is centered around delivering accounting assistance and financial oversight within the organization. Key responsibilities entail engaging in financial initiatives, preparing monthly and annual financial reports, and participating in projects designed to refine the company's accounting practices and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure precision and adherence to accounting standards by reviewing general ledger entries and supporting calculations.
  • Perform month-end reconciliations of general ledger accounts to validate balances.
  • Contribute to the planning, execution, and reporting of projects aimed at enhancing systems and procedures.
  • Focus on refining workpapers and processes to boost efficiency and accuracy.
  • Engage in Physical Inventory or Cycle Counting activities.
  • Assist in the annual audit process conducted by external auditors.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the industry or public accounting.
  • Progress towards CPA, CMA, or MBA is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or public accounting is preferred.
  • Proven commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Experience with Oracle Hyperion Planning or similar systems is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information effectively.
  • Skilled at meeting stringent deadlines.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within teams.
  • Strong critical thinking and independent reasoning skills.
  • Willingness to travel for inventories or project-related tasks.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
  • Specific visual capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
  • The work environment is primarily office-based with a low noise level.
  • Extended periods of sitting may be necessary.
