About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Range Management Specialist to join our team at National Experienced Workforce Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) through a grant administered program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Development: Provide training, mentoring, and coaching to less-tenured staff on NRCS's inventory, assessment, planning, and monitoring processes.
  • Conservation Planning: Assist in inventorying, assessing, planning, and monitoring of conservation practices, including the use of NRCS's technical tools for the grazing lands program.
  • Technical Data Gathering: Assist in gathering and assembling technical data for conservation plans and Farm Bill contract participation throughout the United States.
  • Program Support: Assist the National Grazing Lands Discipline Lead with other activities that support Farm Bill Program planning, implementation, and monitoring as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 20 years of experience in planning and implementing agricultural and natural resource management programs on grazing lands.
  • Education: MA/MS Degree in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, or related field.
  • Skills: Operational skills with NRCS's grazing lands technical tools, including HRH, PCS, ESDs, and NRI.
  • Qualifications: Valid State Driver's License, experience with Windows, MS Word, and MS Excel.
