Position Overview:
GovCIO is actively seeking a Vulnerability Management Specialist. This role is integral to our mission of enhancing government IT services.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Vulnerability Management Specialist, you will oversee the Vulnerability Management Team, focusing on minimizing the attack surface of our global computing assets through thorough assessment and resolution of vulnerabilities.

Your team will be tasked with documenting individual vulnerabilities, collaborating with both internal and external partners on remediation efforts, and managing daily activities related to vulnerability resolution.

  • Lead team initiatives and projects that bolster an internal and external threat management program.
  • Supervise a team of information security experts, including hiring, training, conducting performance evaluations, and providing both technical and personal development support.
  • Represent Operations and Maintenance in regular discussions with Vulnerability Stakeholders to update on remediation progress.
  • Conduct presentations on vulnerabilities and current risk exposure, offering remediation strategies.
  • Collaborate with the application development team to enhance security within CI/CD pipeline processes.
  • Develop and maintain security metrics, ensuring effective communication of these metrics to management.
  • Act as a liaison between Security Operations Center personnel and Client Engineering and Network Operations Engineers.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required, along with 2-5 years of relevant experience in managing computer operations. The candidate should ensure that production schedules are adhered to and that computer system resources are utilized efficiently.

Clearance Requirement:
Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance.

Salary Information: The salary range for this position reflects the expected compensation at the start of employment. However, actual base pay may vary based on several individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.

The total compensation package may also include additional elements, which will be discussed during the hiring process.

Upon hiring, the employee will be in an 'at-will position,' and GovCIO reserves the right to adjust base salary and other compensation programs at any time based on performance and market factors.


Salary Range:
USD $71,000.00 - USD $80,000.00 /Yr.
