Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the issuance and receipt of firearms, ammunition, and related equipment, ensuring accurate stock counts and proper storage.
  • System Administration: Utilize the IBM Maximo application for tracking assets and inventory, including logging weapon issuance and managing lost and found items.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Conduct bi-annual audits of on-site weapons and ammunition, ensuring all records are reconciled within the Maximo system.
  • Procurement Recommendations: Propose orders for firearms, ammunition, and accessories based on operational needs.
  • Market Research: Assist the range supervisor in gathering vendor quotes to support procurement decisions.
  • Security Oversight: Maintain strict security protocols for weapons and equipment, reporting any incidents of theft or damage immediately.
  • Documentation: Manage all necessary paperwork related to inventory and asset management.
  • Facility Management: Responsible for the daily opening, closing, and securing of the armory.
  • Asset Accountability: Perform a variety of asset management duties, ensuring proper utilization and maintenance of all equipment.
  • Recommendations for Improvement: Provide insights to enhance inventory control and security measures.
  • Program Analysis: Employ analytical methods to evaluate the effectiveness of property management processes.

Qualifications
  • Proficient knowledge of various firearms and munitions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and possess a valid driver’s license; training for forklift and pallet jack operation will be provided.
