Equipment Yard Coordinator

We are currently seeking a Shop & Lot Attendant to join our team in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational abilities, be proactive, and possess a basic understanding of mechanical systems. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, during the first shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the organization of incoming and outgoing equipment in the yard, ensuring proper placement of all items.
- Maintain an orderly and tidy equipment lot.
- Ensure the yard is well-kept, free from weeds and debris, and manage snow removal.
- Assist in loading pallets into a large dumpster, utilizing a forklift or manual methods.
- Support drivers in preparing and detailing equipment for delivery.
- Safely operate a forklift.
- Perform basic mechanical tasks, such as inflating flat tires and battery maintenance.
- Clean and detail various types of equipment, including new, pre-owned, demo, and customer units.
- De-grease engine compartments.
- Remove and clean deck covers thoroughly.
- Maintain a clean and professional workspace.
- Ensure cleanliness in the shop by sweeping, removing trash, and managing wood crating materials.
- Utilize various repair/service tools safely and effectively, including pressure washers and hand tools.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to fulfill customer requirements.
- Organize offsite warehouse operations and manage equipment transportation.
- Carry out additional tasks as required to successfully complete job duties.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is essential.
- Technical degree is preferred.
- Ability to operate equipment and machinery safely.
- Capability to identify problems and propose solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills are a must.
- Self-motivated individual.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficient in using various repair/service tools safely and effectively.
In this role, employees will frequently sit, drive, use their hands for various tasks, and communicate effectively. The position requires standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms. Specific vision capabilities needed include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Regular lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 75 lbs. is necessary. Employees will operate company vehicles and must meet DOT medical examination standards.
Work Environment
Work is conducted in both indoor shop settings and outdoor environments with equipment. Employees may encounter extreme temperatures, loud noises, dust, and fumes.
