Job Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Shop & Lot Attendant to join our team in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational abilities, possess a proactive attitude, and have a basic understanding of mechanical tasks. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, during the first shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the organization of incoming and outgoing equipment in the yard, ensuring all items are correctly positioned.
  • Maintain an orderly environment within the lot.
  • Ensure the yard remains tidy, free from weeds and debris, and manage snow removal.
  • Assist in loading pallets into a large dumpster, utilizing a forklift or manual effort as needed.
  • Support drivers in preparing and detailing equipment for delivery.
  • Safely operate a forklift as required.
  • Perform basic mechanical tasks, such as inflating flat tires and conducting battery jumps and replacements.
  • Clean and detail various types of equipment, including new, pre-owned, demo, and customer units.
  • Uphold a clean and professional workspace.
  • Ensure the shop is kept clean through regular sweeping, trash disposal, and managing wood crating materials.
  • Utilize various repair and service tools, including pressure washers and hand/power tools, safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet customer requirements.
  • Organize offsite warehouse operations and facilitate equipment transportation.
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
  • Mechanical aptitude is necessary.
  • A technical degree is preferred.
  • Ability to operate equipment and machinery safely.
  • Capable of identifying problems and initiating appropriate solutions.
  • Exemplary organizational skills are a must.
  • Self-motivated individuals are encouraged to apply.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull weights up to 75 pounds.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
  • Proficient in the safe and effective use of various repair/service tools.
Physical Requirements

In this role, employees will frequently be required to sit, drive, use their hands for handling or feeling, and communicate verbally. Standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms are also necessary. Specific vision capabilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Regular lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 75 lbs. will be expected. Employees will operate a company vehicle and must meet DOT medical examination standards.

Work Environment

This position involves working both indoors in a shop setting and outdoors with equipment. Employees may encounter extreme temperatures, loud noises, dust, and fumes.
