As a key member of the Avient team, the Maintenance Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing facilities. This position will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance department, ensuring equipment reliability, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Assign and prioritize work for maintenance associates, including work orders and proactive maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with maintenance associates to identify and obtain resources needed to complete work.
- Follow up on corrective actions, audit results, and ideas to ensure effective implementation.
- Purchase and maintain inventory of parts, supplies, tools, and equipment needed for maintenance.
- Improve equipment reliability and uptime by identifying critical spare parts, investigating equipment breakdowns, and implementing corrective actions.
- Take a proactive approach to equipment issues, prioritizing repair and maintenance to prevent reoccurring breakdowns.
- Coordinate work schedules and ensure efficient completion of tasks, adhering to Avient standards.
- Maintain the E-Maintenance system as the primary communication tool for maintenance purposes.
- Document work completed, including work orders, PM records, equipment information, and electronic files.
- Develop and implement a proactive maintenance program for all plant equipment.
- Enforce and maintain standardization of parts and equipment.
- Support the vision, mission, and guiding principles of Avient, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience required.
- Manufacturing Industry experience (Plastic Industry preferred) - 7 years.
- Supervision/Leadership Experience - 3 years.
- Manufacturing Experience/Safety Procedures - 7 years.
