Key Responsibilities- Develop substation layout drawings, including plan and elevation drawings, yard layouts, grounding details, and control building layouts.
- Design and develop substation one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, auxiliary AC power systems, DC power systems, DC schematics, SCADA systems, and communications systems.
- Perform engineering calculations and prepare reports.
- Prepare equipment specifications for substation equipment components and construction.
- Have experience with substation design and IEEE/ANSI standards.
- Have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills.
- Be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Managerial and leadership skills a plus.
- Professional Engineering license (PE) strongly preferred or ability to sit for the exam within 6 months.
- Advanced Degree strongly preferred.
- EIT or ability to obtain within 6-12 months of hire.
- 10 years progressive experience in design and engineering with power distribution and/or high voltage substations.
- Experience on Renewable (Wind, Solar & Energy Storage) will be considered as an asset.
- Commitment to driving strong business performance, continuous improvement, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience in AUTOCAD & MicroStation will be considered as an asset.

The pay range for this position is $80k-$120k per year, depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
