Position: Technical Sales Representative - BAHCO Band Saw Specialist

Opportunity in Professional Industrial Distribution Sales for BAHCO Band Saw Products

This outside sales role will engage with industrial distributors, manufacturing representatives, and agencies, as well as direct sales efforts to identify and assess production end users, stimulating additional product demand with existing accounts while cultivating new customer relationships.

Key objectives include collaborating with company support to facilitate sales closures and expand the territory. As the band saw industry evolves, the assigned territory may be adjusted to align with increasing demand.

  • 3-5 years of outside sales experience in an industrial setting, particularly with distributors and/or agency representatives.
  • A demonstrated history of achieving sales goals and fostering customer growth is essential.
  • Ideal candidates will possess prior experience in selling cutting tools.
  • Mechanically inclined individuals with the ability to operate and adjust machinery, alongside technical knowledge of metal cutting tools and related equipment, are preferred.
  • Experience as a machine operator or within the sawing industry is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and engage with customers, distributors, and/or end users is required, including potential overnight travel.
  • Strong organizational, customer service, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across various organizational levels, are necessary.
  • Capability to convey enthusiasm coupled with product knowledge to successfully close sales is crucial.
  • A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or equivalent sales experience is required.
  • An Associate's Degree in machining or other technical/mechanical fields is a plus.
  • Prior technical training in metals, metallurgy, and cutting tools is mandatory.
  • A valid driver's license and an impeccable driving record are essential.
  • Proficiency in utilizing the Internet for research, working with spreadsheets and databases, and efficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is expected.
