Job Title: Technical Sales Representative
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our team at Snap-on. As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for representing the Bahco line to industrial customers, identifying and evaluating production end users, and stimulating additional product demand with current accounts and developing new customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with industrial distributors, manufacturing reps, and agencies to identify and evaluate production end users and stimulate additional product demand with current accounts and develop new customer accounts.
- Work with company support to help close sales and grow the territory.
- Modify territory assignments as needed to meet growing demand.
- Travel to customer locations and meet with customers, distributors, and/or end users.
- Convey enthusiasm and product knowledge to close sales.
- Meet sales and customer growth goals.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of outside sales experience in an industrial environment and with distributors and/or agency reps.
- A proven track record of prior goal achievement showing solid increases in sales and in customer growth.
- Prior experience selling cutting tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate/adjust machines.
- Technical knowledge of metal cutting tools and other equipment.
- Previous experience working as a machine operator or in the sawing industry.
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately to various levels in an organization.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or equivalent sales experience.
- Associates degree in machining or other technical/mechanical equipment.
- Prior technical training in metals, metallurgy, cutting tools.
- Valid driver's license and impeccable driving record.
- Proficiency in using the Internet for research, working with spreadsheets and databases, and efficient working in all Microsoft Office suite products.
