Key Responsibilities

This role involves assisting the branch manager in overseeing branch operations, particularly focusing on retail sales and customer service. The Retail Banking Operations Assistant may also support the training of tellers and perform various administrative tasks. Depending on branch needs, this position may also serve as a Senior Teller.

Core Duties:
  • Collaborate with branch sales team members, including the Branch Manager and Customer Service Representatives, to achieve branch sales objectives through customer relationship management.
  • Foster teamwork and cooperation among departments and within the branch, encouraging similar conduct from staff.
  • Prepare and manage loan documentation and related files as necessary.
  • Handle lending responsibilities as required by business needs.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Branch Manager, including report generation and record maintenance, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Support branch staff in daily operations, including transaction approvals and customer issue resolution.
  • Coordinate security protocols, including branch opening and closing procedures, alarm testing, and security training.
  • May serve as a teller or customer service representative as needed.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and training requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Sales training is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the bank's consumer deposit and loan products is essential.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Skills:
  • Strong customer service, communication, and analytical abilities.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Adept at multitasking.
  • Ability to follow directions and adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with banking operations and procedures.
  • Consistently demonstrate the company's core values: work ethic, integrity, respect, responsibility, transparency, and humility.
Experience:
  • A minimum of three years of branch experience, including at least two years as a Customer Service Representative or Senior Teller, is typically required.
Additional Information

Work Hours: 40 hours per week

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, with potential for annual merit increases. Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position may include standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods, using hands and fingers for various tasks, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to focus.
