Key Responsibilities
This role involves supporting the branch manager in overseeing daily operations with an emphasis on retail sales and customer service. Responsibilities may include assisting in the training of tellers and managing various administrative tasks. The Retail Banking Assistant may also take on the role of Senior Teller as needed.
Core Duties:
- Collaborate with branch sales team members to meet sales objectives through effective customer relationship management.
- Encourage teamwork and cooperation among staff and other departments.
- Prepare and manage loan documentation and related files.
- Handle lending tasks as required by business operations.
- Provide administrative assistance to the Branch Manager, including report generation and record management.
- Support branch staff in daily functions, including transaction approvals and customer issue resolution.
- Implement security protocols, including branch opening and closing procedures.
- May serve as a teller or customer service representative when necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and training requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Sales training is preferred.
- Familiarity with the bank's consumer deposit and loan products is essential.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong customer service, communication, and analytical abilities.
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
- Adept at multitasking.
- Ability to follow directions and adhere to established protocols.
- Understanding of banking policies and procedures.
- Consistently demonstrate core values such as integrity, respect, and responsibility.
- A minimum of three years in a branch environment, with at least two years in a customer service or senior teller role.
Hours: 40 hours per week
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, with potential for annual increases. Benefits include paid holidays, vacation, medical, vision, and dental insurance, a 401K plan with matching contributions, pension options, tuition reimbursement, and various banking discounts.
Physical Requirements:
