Job Title: Patient Service Rep

**Job Summary:**

Group A LLC is seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Rep to join our team. As a Patient Service Rep, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical office setting.

**Responsibilities:**

* Provide clerical support by answering telephones, scheduling and registering patients.
* Appointment scheduling, managing referrals, obtaining authorizations, and inbasket management.
* Verify insurance coverage, obtain patient demographics, and ensure necessary authorizations are obtained prior to patient visits.
* Troubleshoot billing problems and ensure accurate and timely billing.

**Requirements:**

* High school diploma/GED required.
* One year of experience in a high-volume specialty physician practice office.
* Bachelor's degree preferred.
* Knowledge of managed care, Medi-Cal, Medicare eligibility, authorization, and billing requirements.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and Access.
* Experience in medical office settings and IDX systems desired.

**Skills:**

* Ability to identify problems, prioritize, and problem solve.
* Basic keyboarding and computer skills.
* Basic knowledge of English language, grammar, and composition.
* Basic math skills demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
* Medical billing skills sufficient to coordinate authorization and billing requests.
* Bilingual Spanish preferred.

**Work Environment:**

This position requires working in a fast-paced medical office setting with multiple priorities and deadlines. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide exceptional patient care and administrative support.
